Encouraging Health Series: A Message of Hope and Inspiration

In this next interview in the Encouraging Health Series, I had the opportunity to learn from Denise Taylor.  As I’m sure you’ll gather from reading below, Denise is a powerful example of courage, hope, and inspiration.   I know that hearing Denise’s story has been an important reminder for myself of what really matters in life, and that perspective is such a critical component in moving forward and finding joy.

I am also making a point now to change my language from “I have to,” to “I get to,” as Denise suggests in her response to question #5 below.   This has certainly shifted my energy on more than one occasion and allows me to come from a place of greater power.

1.  What is the name of your business, and what do you offer?

I’m an inspirational speaker and the author of "Heavenly Birth". I offer a message of hope and encouragement, sharing the lessons I learned through my daughter’s bout with leukemia. Her life began with me teaching her and ended in June of ’08 with her teaching me. Perspective is everything! We always have the choice to see things from a positive perspective. It’s a matter of learning how and Jonnae was a wonderful teacher.

2.  Is there a specific group of people that you serve through your work?

I have spoken to audiences of every age, gender, race, denomination and walk of life. From sporting events to builder’s associations, from business conferences to church retreats, this is a message that impacts the perspective and lives of everyone. "Heavenly Birth – A Mother’s Journey. A Daughter’s Legacy" is read primarily by mothers. They have embraced the book more than any other group. However, several teens and few men have emailed me their words of thanks after reading the book.

3.  What are some of the health challenges that you see in women/women entrepreneurs today?

Women are fatigued, worn out from being overworked. That affects the physical body. There seems to not be enough energy to do what’s best for our body – physical, emotional, and spiritual.

Encouraging Health Series: Wellness Includes Attending to All Aspects of Who You Are

In this next interview in the Encouraging Health Series, I have the opportunity to introduce you to Natalie Hjelsvold.  Natalie shares with us a lot of great tips for getting back in touch with your own self-care, as well as reconnecting with the parts of you that may have gotten lost along the way.  I especially appreciate the tips that Natalie shares in response to question #6.  Enjoy!

1.  What is the name of your business, and what do you offer?

Vivacious Vixens Passion Parties.  An in-home party experience of Adult Sensual Products.  The opportunity to find your Inner Vixen and get her out from under the piles of laundry and bills!

2.  Is there a specific group of people that you serve through your work?

I work with women over the age of 18 who are interested in exploring the different products available to them in the adult sensual products arena.  I share information, tips and tricks on how to spice up the relationship you are in, with or without a partner.  I share detailed information on how to introduce sensual products into the bedroom.  I provide an evening of entertainment and laughter, showing women that their sexuality should be
celebrated and they should be the foremost expert on what they enjoy and what they would like more of.

3. What are some of the health challenges that you see in women/women entrepreneurs today?

Women are so busy taking care of business…Family business, work business, friends business, life business that they rarely take time to care for their own business.  They are focused on ensuring everyone around them is well cared for, fed, bathed and snuggled in, they don’t stop to make sure those things are a daily activity for themselves.  Women are in desperate need to reconnect, both with their partner and themselves.  Laughter has lost its
place in our lives and I am here to show them that laughter in the bedroom is the starting place of a healthy relationship, with everything.
