Great Living Cafe: Nurturing and Being Grateful for the Relationships in Your Life

Look around you.  What do you see?  Are you noticing the relationships that you have in your life?  Are you grateful for the people who are a part of your world, or does your energy go to wanting them to be different, to change, to meet your expectations more fully?

Tune in to today’s episode of the Great Living Cafe as Amy and Theresa talk about what you might be missing out on when your focus is on what isn’t, instead of what is.  Realizing that how we perceive our relationships through our own unique lens affects our experience of those relationships is a powerful step in shifting to a place of acceptance and deeper connection with the people around us.

Energize Your Week with the Great Living Cafe

In need of an energy boost?  Join Theresa and me on the Great Living Cafe as we continue to explore how we can find the pause button during this extra-busy time of year and become more conscious of the power that we each have to make choices for how we want to experience the holidays.

When it comes to your to-do list, all the requests for your time, the regular demands that haven’t eased up, you really do have the power to choose what no longer is a fit for you or what isn’t as important anymore when it comes to your holiday preparations and activities.  As we shared on the episode, remember to keep in mind these three comforting words:  “…and that’s okay.”

Whatever you end up creating for the holidays, it will be enough.  Trust that.

The energy really got flowing on today’s episode of the Great Living Cafe.  As we continue our special holiday series on beating the “never enough” syndrome, Theresa and I dig deep into the topic of stress, self-care, and taking complete responsibility for our lives as women.  You can listen in on the player below, or you can download the episode by clicking here.

I would love to hear from you.  What is one thing that you’re going to take off of your to-do list this holiday season?

Energize Your Week with the Great Living Cafe

On today’s episode of the Great Living Cafe we began an exploration of a topic that affects so many women:  the “never enoughness” syndrome.  This was the first installment in a several-part holiday series designed to support women in their growth of self-fulfillment and personal satisfaction.  Today’s show emphasized the importance of daily gratitude and identifying one’s own values.

Energize Your Week with the Great Living Cafe

On today’s episode of the Great Living Cafe on Blog Talk Radio, I explore the role that timing plays in our lives and how, when we embrace where we are instead of resisting it, our energy increases.  Sound like an interesting topic for you?  If so, you can listen in below, or you can download the episode to your MP3 player by clicking here.

For me, it is a daily practice of allowing and trusting in the flow of life.  Just like with everything, some days I am more able than others to celebrate and honor where I am.  But awareness and being conscious of my tendencies has certainly been a huge step in this process.  And now I just take it one day at a time, which is really a great approach to so many things;-).

When you get the support you need and deserve, your energy level will certainly be impacted.  Each time you take a step toward asking for help, each time you decide that you are worthy of time and attention from both yourself and others, you will begin to feel a shift in your energy.  And, over time, these shifts can be remarkable.

On today’s show Theresa (my co-host) and I shared how this past week went and what our experiences were like with the “support challenge” that was issued on last week’s show (to listen to that episode, please click here).  As today’s show concluded, Theresa emphasized that it’s all about getting support from others AND support from within; I couldn’t have said it any better.  A very powerful statement, indeed.

What’s going on for you when it comes to getting the support that you need?  Where do you sense that you need to begin?  What small step can you take today to start this journey for yourself?

Energize Your Week with the Great Living Cafe

Today’s episode of the Great Living Cafe focused on the energy of being and why it is that so many of us often get caught up in the energy of doing.  This is an area that continues to be a work in progress for me, as it is it for so many women.  If this topic speaks to you, you can listen to the episode below or download it at Blog Talk Radio by clicking here.

Remember to take some time this week to just be.

Energize Your Week with the “Great Living Cafe”

I woke up this morning to a rather dreary day here in Michigan.  Although it’s quite mild outside, it’s one of those days that looks like it is going to be cloudy and drizzly all day.  It really has been a beautiful fall so far, so I guess I really shouldn’t complain.  But this weather does affect my energy level.  Do you ever find that to be true for you, in terms of how the weather impacts your energy?

One of the things that I love about Mondays, though, that always helps to start my week off on a great note is a Blog Talk Radio show that I co-host with my best friend, Theresa.  She and I began the Great Living Cafe show back in July of this year, and it’s been loads of fun and very powerful, too.  The show is 30 minutes long, and every time I get off the call I am just bursting with energy!  I would love for you to feel that way, too.  Consider joining us for the live show (3:00 p.m. eastern every Monday), or you can access the recording at your convenience.  For more details, click here.  Today’s show will focus on making decisions and exploring what that process looks like for you in your own life.  You can also listen in below  (Note:  due to some technical difficulties, you won’t hear voices until about a minute into the program.)
