<p>I just finished my lunch, and I am feeling so good.&#160; <em>Isn’t it great when you eat something and then you can actually feel how happy</em> <em>your body is with what you ate</em>?&#160; What a great experience.</p>
<p>Today is a work day for me, so my mom is taking care of my little guy.&#160; When I dropped him off, my mom surprised me with a salad she put together for me to take home as my lunch.&#160; What a lovely treat for me! </p>
<p>&#160;</p>
<p>Here is what the salad contained:</p>
<blockquote><p><strong>baby spinach leaves</strong></p>
<p><strong>raspberries</strong></p>
<p><strong>strawberries</strong></p>
<p><strong>blueberries</strong></p>
<p><strong>walnuts</strong></p>
</blockquote>
<p>And I topped it off with poppy seed dressing.&#160; Let me tell you, it was amazing!!!&#160; It’s always so wonderful when tasty and healthy can describe the same meal.</p>

<p>Nuts are a great source of energy, and one of my favorite nut choices is almonds.&#160; <strong>Almonds</strong> really pack a nutritional punch; they are a good source of <u>protein, fiber, calcium, and healthy fats</u>.&#160; I try to eat almonds just about everyday, and if you’re not already enjoying them regularly I would encourage you to do so.</p>

<p>The video below share an easy recipe for getting even more of an energy boost from almonds.&#160; I have tried the recipe shared at the beginning, with just almonds and water, and it really is delicious.&#160; I think I might try some of the other ingredients that Rose suggests adding as well.</p>

<p>There are endless possibilities when it comes to making a green smoothie, but I am going to share with you one of the most basic recipes.&#160; </p>
<blockquote><p>1 cup cold water</p>
<p>1 pear sliced into pieces</p>
<p>1 banana sliced</p>
<p>handful of spinach</p>
</blockquote>
<p>Directions:&#160; Put the first three ingredients listed into a blender and blend.&#160; Then add the spinach and blend again.&#160; That’s it.&#160; Very simple to make and truly wonderful for your body.&#160; Enjoy!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I wanted to share a quick recipe with you that is easy to put together and fits in well with most lifestyles.&#160; Now that fall is here and the weather is getting a bit chillier here in Michigan, I’m starting to use my <strong>crockpot</strong> again.&#160; It really helps my energy level when I know what we’ll be having for dinner and when there is very little left to do during the actual dinner hour.&#160; Our schedules are pretty crazy on Wednesdays, so dinner isn’t at the same time for everyone.&#160; Crockpot meals make it so much easier to still have a healthy meal to enjoy at different times.</p>

<p>Recipe:&#160;&#160; <u><strong>Italian Chicken</strong></u></p>
<p>Ingredients: chicken breasts </p>
<p>&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160;&#160; 1 jar of your favorite pasta sauce</p>
<p>&#160;</p>
<p>Directions:&#160; Put chicken in the crockpot.&#160; Add the jar of sauce.&#160; Cook on low for 8-10 hours.&#160; Enjoy.</p>
